"Cindy and Mike, Thank you for the use of your great cottage – we’ve “done the coast” from East Quoddy Head light and Campobello to Ellsworth, with Schoodic Point being my favorite. We took each day as it came. No plans, no demands – just went with the flow. Some places were closed already for the season but still lots to see, experience and thoroughly enjoy! Our neighbors to the right were very helpful in pointing us to some very significant sights – this being our first trip to Down East. I loved the sound of waves, watching lobster boats and enjoying the sea breezes – the sunrises were spectacular. Long walks to Jonesport village allowed a close up view of the locals and how people live here. Very friend – always a “hello” or a wave – or greeting by the family pet. The week went by too fast, and we spoiled ourselves with all the good food. Wonderful spot! Hope we can make it back."
