"From guestbook: Our week here has been great! We have enjoyed the amazing views and the break from the humidity back home in Illinois. Some of our favorite activities while we were here was our trip in to Eastport and our 3 hour trip on the Sylvania Beal Schooner whale watching trip. Even though it was tricky to find, we saw the reversing falls in Pembroke. They were unique and something you must see. The view from Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park was spectacular and worth a trip. We traveled the LONG drive down to shop in Freeport, which was okay however, as we enjoyed stopping in the towns on the way back on Route 1 (like Camden). My sister and I really liked the food at the Blue Bird Ranch in Machias (blueberry pancakes and blueberry cream pie were delicious!!). Also, after y shop in Bar Harbor make sure to walk the shore path along the coast. The location of the cottage is perfect and we wish we could stay longer. "
