This quaint log cabin situated on the banks of the peaceful New River may be just what the doctor ordered! If it's quiet time you're needing, you won't find a more more suitable location. Bring the kids along, there is ample space for them to roam as well. A nice grassy front yard leads right down to the water, where the family can enjoy tubing, canoeing, or fishing; and the covered front porch with it's swing and rocker provides a cozy spot for reading, game playing, or relaxing even if it's raining outside. Inside, the cabin is very tastefully decorated and emits an air of nostalgia. The upstairs area provides a full bath two separate bedrooms. Each of the two bedrooms have antique beds and dressers, ample reading light and comfortable bedding; one with a queen bed, the other with two twins. The main level of the cabin offers a great room and fully equipped kitchen, and a half-bath. There's Satellite TV with VCR, Stereo with CD player, and a romantic gas fireplace in the living room. You'll be able to get a good feel of small town life just a few miles away in West Jefferson. Have a nice lunch at one of several restaurants and stroll along the streets enjoying the many art galleries and shops. Be sure to get a cone of ice cream and see cheese made at the south's only cheese plant, Ashe County Cheese. In addition the downtown sports numerous murals, a public library and arts center.
