"My wife and I stayed at the condo for eight nights. It was very spacious and was in a good location being walking distance to the pool and beach. Overall the resort was very quiet during the whole week except at the end which was Easter weekend which was a busy holiday in the DR. Even with the influx of people it was still very quiet compared to resorts in the US. API beach bar was one our favorite restaurants and the service staff was really excellent. We visited several evenings and they took great care of us every night! We also took a short cab ride to the other side of the Marina where there were also a couple other great restaurants including Nakamura. It is located in the brand new Casino. If you like Asian food and sushi this one is not to miss. We couldn't believe how quiet it was...there should have been a line out the door. "The condo is spacious and well decorated; however, it is very hard to find and the concierge nor any help speaks English. If it would not have been for neighboring guests we would have missed a lot of the beauty of Cap Cana. The Marina is beautiful but the beach is very hard sand and the water is not as clear as other Caribbean isles. The hot tub did not work nor the jetted tubs. The maids number did not work and the owner is not local.Hot water is limited. Very poor construction, we even had a leak from the top floor. We never found the bike and kayak rentals. The development is not finished and completely empty. Restaurants and shopping areas are closed and you have to go to different parts of the development for meals. You must have a car! If you enjoy warm weather and a book you will enjoy the spacious unit. If you have children or like close activities I would not recommend this development. "There are no words to explain the relaxation that I experienced here in this place... we stayed for a week, my husband and my two kids, and they also loved it! The condo was just as pictured...very pretty and spacious. The terrace was huge and also beautifully furnished.The kitchen is equipped with anything you could need. The best grocery shopping was right near the airport at the Nacional supermarket. Although it is a 15 minute drive, it is easy to get to and they have a good selection of everything plus they take credit cards! In the same shopping center as the supermarket, there are several other restaurants (the Mexican one was good) plus other shops. We were extremely happy with the condo as it is truly beautiful. Both pools are large and very clean and your able to bring down a cooler and food and eat at the bar. "We had a wonderful time staying at Acquamarina 1022 in Cap Cana. The property is more spacious than the pictures do justice. We were 5 people, including 3 children, which was very comfortable in the condo. The location for a relaxing vacation cannot be beat as even during high season, this property feels very secluded. The property grounds include two large swimming pools, two hot tubs, large semi-private beach with coves designed to keep the rough waves away. There are even a number of cabanas available on a first come, first serve basis across the beach, which were wonderful. Absolutely stunning views of the ocean, white beach sand and more. We also really enjoyed the restaurants located in and about the marina property. A nice 5-10 minute walk from the unit with some of the best Italian and local foods you'll find anywhere in Punta or Cap Cana. If you want more action, it is only a 15-20 minute drive to Bavaro area, which has shopping, restaurants, more. There are plenty of activities in the surrounding areas within 10-20 minute drive as well for those who like cave exploration, swimming in natural cenotes, zip lining, dune buggy tours and more. "Our family of 6 just returned from a wonderful vacation here. The entire week was relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed many hours on the beach nearby which was practically empty. Another day we went to Juanillo beach and loved the atmosphere there - food and drinks available, great beach set up. What was originally going to be a couple hours turned into six hours there. Took a tour with Outback Safari and zip lined at the Scape Park. I would recommend renting a car. Cap Cana is huge and while you can take a shuttle around Cap Cana ($3/person each way) or rent golf carts (for 4 people and only until 5), we found it easier to have a car. Really enjoyed eating at the Blue Marlin and Jellyfish Restaurant plus going into Punta Cana Village for some less expensive dinners. The unit itself is very large and well equipped. "My family and I decided to go to the Dominican Republic for this years family vacation. After lots of research, I stumbled upon this amazing condo on VRBO. It's a huge condo that my family of 4 truly enjoyed staying at. The pictures are exactly what you will see once you enter the condo and complex. Evelyn was truly a pleasure to deal with from the beginning, during, end, and after our stay. Transportation recommended by Evelyn was Rafael from Sol Cana Tours. They picked us up from the airport and brought us back when it was time to leave and provided great service. We did 2 tours with Sol Cana (private tour of Santo Domingo and Higuey) which were amazing and of great value. Our tour guide Felix was very knowledgeable and informative at Santo Domingo, and our driver Arlington for both Santo Domingo and Higuey was very safe, funny, and kind. I highly recommend their services do not hesitate to email Rafael and book some tours with him. Rafael, Evelyn, and Leonardo (manager) all made our stay very easy, comfortable, and fun! Cap Cana is a great location that is very quiet, has friendly staff, and safe. The restaurants at Cap Cana are also really good (we ate at Il Cappuccino, Club Aquamare, Il Portico, La Palapa by Eden Roc, and Juanillo Beach food & drinks.) We did Ziplining and the Hoyo Azul eco tour at Scape Park (inside Cap Cana) which were lots of fun that I also highly recommend. Other tours we did and highly recommend are Outback Safari Adventures and Saona Island (Seavis tours.) Supermarket is close by, which makes it easy to purchase supplies for the condo. We rented a car for part of our stay and were able to browse other areas of the DR like the Bavaro area (we ate at the Jellyfish Restaurant, which was really good!) "My family and I stayed here for a full week and it was amazing. The condo is a lot larger than described in the add. It's decorated beautifully and the view is amazing. I highly recommend waking up early and catching the sunrise from the balcony. We came during the off season so it was like having the entire property to our selves. We visited the pool three days in a row and there was no one there but my family and I. It was great!. The only down side is that the beach has a ton of dry sea weed on shore and it's pretty much impossible to get in the water. I was able too because I had water shoes. I'm sure during the peak season they have it cleaned up. I rented a golf cart for a day for 50 dollars. Make sure it is fully charged and functional. My cart was barely charged and when I left it in the garage for charging it did not charge. It was after 6 pm so the golf cart office was closed and I was not able to get another. I went back the following morning. They replaced the cart but, would not give me an additional or time. Not even a partial refund. It was very upsetting. Renting from Evelyn was amazing and she was extremely accommodating and helpful. I truly appreciate the extra help she provided to my famiky, friends, and I. I must tell you that the pictures do not truly depict how huge and nicely decorated the space is! The terrace was an extreme delight. My family relaxed read, ate, and took in the beautiful sites of the marina. The condo comes equipped with free WI Fi. This was extremely important to me as my son was taking an online summer course. He took his final exam with the tranquility and beautiful back drop of the marina from the immaculate terrace. The community itself is very quiet and family oriented. However, this should not discourage people who want to take in the party and festival scene of Punta Cana. We rented a vehicle and everything was in short distance to the resort. We went to the supermarket (5 minute drive) and stocked up on supplies. The condo comes with a plethora of flyers, brochures, and binder that provides you with detailed information about what the resort and surrounding area has to offer. We used that information to locate the San Juan Mall and the Bravaro area where there are tons of local activities to do. My family enjoyed horseback riding and zip lining as well. On our down time, we just took in the space and felt right at home. Our stay was truly special because it was a treat for my mom who is fighting stage 4 cancer. "To start with the conclusion: we would definitely go back and we highly recommend staying at this condo. We traveled to Cap Cana with our four children ages 6, 8, 11, and 13 for February vacation. This GIGANTIC condo is located in a very safe, gated community. The beach and the pool(s) were a short walk (with no shoes needed) from our second floor retreat. We were pleasantly surprised at how empty the whole place was. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful getaway, then look no further. The condo was very well appointed. The living space was very comfortable. The air conditioning was a delight. Our favorite spot was on the balcony that included a sectional sofa. In fact, everyday we ate breakfast and lunch in the outdoor eating area overlooking the marina. Shortly into the trip, we wound up turning in our golf cart and renting a car. Cap Cana is so big that a car was more practical. There are other beaches and several hotels inside the gated community: definitely worth exploring. The kids try zip-lining one day in Cap Cana. They had a great time. The guides were very friendly. The Punta Cana Village is a 10 minute drive. In the village we found a large, modern supermarket to load up on supplies. Evelyn, our gracious host, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us to the supermarket before we checked in. At night we ate mostly at the Punta Cana Village (about 6 restaurants) or at the mall in Bavaro (20 minute drive). My kids aren't too adventurous on the food front so we stuck with simple, touristy places. The restaurants in Cap Cana were over-priced. Evelyn was very helpful. She was very easy to work with in the months leading up to the trip. The condo description is very accurate. The condo is nicer than the pictures. There is a concierge desk to help with day-to-day questions, but since you are not at a hotel don't expect the range of services and expertise that comes with a concierge desk at a resort. This very minor negative is offset by the loads of positives at Cap Cana: big, clean place to stay, no crowds, great weather, easy living. "The condo was beautiful and well stocked with everything you need and more. The unit was well maintained and clean. There were 2 families, with a total of 7 people and we were very comfortable. The deck is huge and very cozy, we spent many hours on the deck, enjoying the marina view. The beach is a two minute walk from the room and is the most gorgeous, picturesque spot I have ever been to and I have seen many beaches. The actual developed area feels much smaller than it appears on the photos, and is easy to get around walking. There were very few guests in the area and we were literally the only ones on the entire beach or at any of the 3 beautiful pools for some of the days. After that we got to know the 10 or 12 people that we met in the area. It was VERY quite. If you are looking for a quiet secluded gorgeous spot, this is the place to be. They did book day trips from the area, but I don't know where they went to. There are only a couple of restaurants and the mini mart at the actual marina has very little in supplies, but has great Gelato. I would highly recommend a stop for groceries at the supermarket by the airport on your way in, it is large and has a great selection of everything. The taxi fares are VERY expensive and it will cost $35.00 US one way to get to the grocery store or the airport. We ended up renting a car from the airport (free pick up) for $25.00 a day and did a little touring into Punta Cana. Evelyn was pleasure to work with and was very attentive to all my questions. She was prompt to return emails and phone calls. Our damage deposit was returned to me within 2 days of departure. Wifi worked great in the room, on the deck and in the main lobby by the beach. "This was a 5 day vacation with some friends and family. We stayed at the beautiful Cap Cana Aqua Marina and absolutely loved it! We had actually come for a wedding in Punta Cana which was pretty close to the marina and felt so comfortable and at ease staying out of the crowded resorts there to enjoy the beautiful views of the yachts, the numerous pools, and of course the beaches! Evelyn was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs from the start, while we were there, and even after we had returned home. "This place is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. Everything from check in to check out was top notch. The place is literally breathtaking and offers everything you need plus more. Very comfortable beds, very clean and the location is perfect! Close enough to town to experience the Dominican culture yet far enough away to feel like you are on your own island. Evelyn is a wonderful host, she answers all your questions and makes you feel very welcome. The Italian restuarant on site is very tasty and great pizza!!!! The mini market onsite is not well stocked but that has nothing to do with this property, just an FYI, I recommend stopping by the main grocery store on the way to the property from the airport and stock up on basics. The kitchen is incredibly prepped and has everything you need from a toaster, to a blender to all the pots and pans for cooking. You can also hire a cook to come and cook delicious Dominican food. Angiee at Concierge is wonderful too, she made our stay extra special by the attention she gave us. My little girl cut herself pretty bad, I called down to Angiee for bandaids, she came up to our apartment in minutes and gave my little girl great care, the next day Angiee came up again (without me even calling) to check on her and redress the cut. "Amazing time, fabulous food, courteous staff, perfect beaches!! We travelled with 5 people total. There is lots of space in the condo so you never feel cramped like a hotel. The private pool is great for hanging out if you want to get away from the crowds. That being said, the VIP beaches are never packed and you can always find a chair any time of that day. You don't need to get there at 8am to secure a good spot. The food was great. We ate at a different a la carte restaurant every night and each place was terrific. "My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed 1 week in this luxury condo. All the rooms were decorated very nicely and the kitchen was well equipped with all you needed. The owner was terrific and gave us all the information required and asked. The marina and the beaches were absolutely breathtaking. The temperature varied from the low 70s to the low 80s with a tropical wind. We also enjoyed the pool service(umbrella, cushions, and the very clean pools-huge). The very secure property was just awesome as all the cars were parked underneath the condos and all you saw were the silent golf carts and the the occasional car along with all the water and all the palm trees. We also utilized the services of the cook and housekeeper offered by the owner, which we gladly payed for before our arrival. We only ate 3 meals away from our condo. Carmen cooked local cuisine and we thoroughly enjoyed all our meals. She was just so friendly and we enjoyed having her at our condo. We rented a car and scouted the mega property along with a real estate agent and we liked the area so much that we would love to buy something in this huge development. My only regret is I didn't take the time to play golf on the magnificent Jack Nicklaus Signature course on the ocean. "Although we have travelled to Punta Cana before, this was the first time that we had rented a condo instead of staying in a resort. This rental experience was wonderful from beginning to end. The owner is a wonderful woman and went above and beyond to ensure that our holiday experience would be great. She gave great suggestions for things to do and see while in Cap Cana, she arranged for a fantastic maid/cook to help us, and was readily available during our vacation to answer any questions. She even arranged for her friend to come by and check in with us to ensure that we were settled and were aware of all that Cap Cana had to offer. Her customer service was fantastic. The condo was nicely decorated, very spacious for our family of four (2 kids under 4 years) and had everything we needed in order to enjoy our time there. We felt very at home here. We were so pleased that the posted pictures were very accurate, in fact, we felt that the property was even better in person. We were in close proximity to restaurants and shops both within Cap Cana, and Punta Cana itself. Cap Cana itself was wonderful and was the perfect location for our vacation. During our 10 day stay we were able to enjoy all of the lovely pools and beaches within the Aquamarina, as well as the Caleton Beach Club, the amazing Punta Espada Golf Course and Juanilo Beach. We even went to the Hoya Azul - Blue Hole to enjoy a hike and a swim. Some days we felt like we had the entire property to ourselves. It was wonderfully peaceful and a pleasant change from staying in a crowded resort. Both our family and the other family we were travelling with had a spectacular time. It was very hard to leave after such a great trip. The vast property at Cap Cana is spectacular and is sure to get even better with time. As was suggested to us, we rented a car and are glad we did. There is so much to see and do here that the car just made everything more convenient. We will definately recommend this particular property and Cap Cana to our friends and family.
