"Mark and Wendi, We had a wonderful family Thanksgiving at the Rustic Retreat. We will definitely be back. We had never stayed in West Jefferson before. We've always stayed in the Blowing Rock area, but I think West Jefferson and the Rustic Retreat will be our new found place to visit again and again. Everything about the cabin was perfect for our family and it's only a two hour drive for us! One morning while we were sitting at the dining room table eating breakfast, our 8-year-old son spotted two bucks roaming in the woods behind the cabin. We were there 5 days and only left the cabin once, which was to drive into West Jefferson and Glendale Springs to see the frescos--very beautiful and most inspiring for us all. We took lots of walks from the cabin and enjoyed the beauty of nature all around. Thank you for helping us feel right at home on our very first visit. We can't wait to come back. Tammy Dillon"
