"Thank you Ning, we really appreciate the hospitality and accommodation We look forward to staying with you again in the future Natasha Aelicks " - Natasha a., Castlegar, BC, 01/29/2023 (inquire/book) "We had the Best time ever! Seriously I cannot imagine that it could have gone any better. We are a low-key family so we just hung out. We wake semi-early, go for walks in the neighborhood, play in the pool, go to bed pretty early (some of us were still working the days too). It was just so relaxing and fun and we have a ton of wonderful memories. Being there was effortless and we had everything we needed and so much more. It gave us all the time to really realize what is important in life. Thank you Ning, that was priceless. " - Joy N., Kalaheo, HI, 12/05/2022 (inquire/book) "You have been great to answer all of the questions we have had to this point - Thanks. Aloha Ning Just a brief note to thank you for sharing your beautiful home this past 8 days. We really appreciated your accommodating us for the late checkout yesterday. We traveled through the night and just arrived home. Back to winter as it was busy snowing while we were enjoying the warm Hawaiian sunshine. We tried to leave your home clean and did get a good start on the laundry for your cleaning people. We didn't break anything and hope we turned off the AC and fans as desired. I will provide review comments once we catch our breath back home. Beyond the home being such a good fit for our family, we really appreciated all of the small things that you provided (from cookware to spices to the coffee and chocolate treats). I always say to my wife that it is the little things that make the difference. We enjoyed the spacious features of your home, the pool and Evan and your husband giving us a hand on a few small things. Mahalo Al and family p.s. a photo of this mornings fresh snow in our backyard. " - Allan R., SHERWOOD PARK, AL, 03/05/2022 (inquire/book) "Thank you so much. We truly enjoyed your home and hope to return someday soon." - Kathy F., 606 East 3550 South ,Bo, 10/26/2021 (inquire/book) "Aloha Ning~ Thank you for the email verifying you received our check. We just returned this morning from a wonderful visit to Kauai ...and another amazing stay at your Hawaiian Hibiscus home :) Our time there was very blessed ~ Thank you so much ! God bless you ~ Mahalo ...Pat & Mary " - Pat a., Long Beach, CA, 04/22/2021 (inquire/book) "The Hawaiian Hibiscus home vastly exceeded our expectations. After over 10 years of traveling to the Hawaiian Islands, this home ranks at the top of the best place to stay on Kauai. It met our three-family needs exactly. With 3 adult couples and two grandchildren under 9 years old, we were able to save a lot by purchasing food and cooking it at home. This may sound easy, but two daughter-in-laws have seafood allergies, gluten free diets and other food allergies. we were able to prepare safe and fresh meals for everyone. We were also able to seat the whole family at one table and dine as a family. We created dear memories here and many days we just vegged out at the pool and hot tub. The property manager, Evan, provided outstanding support and was always available if we had questions. He didn't mind out over talkative 9 year old who asked so many questions while Evan was doing yard work. He talked to out grandson as an adult and we had to call him away so Evan could finish his work. Evan also shared especially helpful advice with our daughter-in-law about real estate possibilities on Kauai. My son hopes to purchase a property on Kauai with rental possibilities. We think we made and new friend. The neighborhood is safe, friendly, attractive and great to walk around. The full time owners frequently stopped to talk with us about Kauai and our home in Alaska. The home provides lots of privacy space and rooms to gather for games and entertainment. Amazingly, we are still talking with each other. Of the 15 days we spent on Kauai, we only had two rainy, windy days, but with the spacious covered porch we loved sitting outside enjoying the fresh air and great smell of the trees and flowers during showers. The home's owner responded to several questions and request and went beyond a typical owner's care for her guests. One son and family could only get a flight out of Kauai at 8:00 pm on the check out date. The owner graciously allowed them to stay the day of the flight beyond the normal checkout so they didn't have to wait in the car all day for their departure. Would I recommend this home for large families? Yes! Most assuredly! Keep this one on your list for the future." - Bruce S. L., Palmer, AK, 03/20/2020 (inquire/book) "This home easily accommodated our family's 6 adults and 5 children. There was room for each family to have their own sleeping/bathing areas. The kitchen easily allowed multiple users with its double sinks, double dishwashers, double refrigerators, etc. Even having double washers/dryers proved very useful with our large group. The beds were very comfortable as was the furniture throughout the house. Having the pool and hot tub really extended relaxation time for all - especially for the parents of toddlers who needed naps. The front lanai was a cool and quiet spot to read or surf the internet in the afternoon. Though there are some signs of daily wear and a few minor repairs needed, the overall experience was top notch. We would definitely stay here again. The on-site manager was always helpful and prompt in responding to any inquiries. He made sure we knew that he was available anytime to solve problems or provide information. And to that point, he readily came out on short notice one evening when there was a problem with the spa and got things up and running quickly. He also met us at the house when we arrived and went over the cooling systems, remotes, and pool/spa information and provided detailed information on places to see and places to eat. The owner was very thorough in providing details on the house and check-in process. She always responded to email inquiries within an hour or two. The information provided the week before our arrival was unusually complete and a great resource during our stay. It was a real pleasure to plan a trip with someone who provided such prompt and detailed responses. Communications with both the owner and the property manager provided a strong sense that we were a priority and that it was important to them that we had a good vacation - and we did." - Leigh S., Seattle, WA, 02/29/2020 (inquire/book) "This home easily accommodated our family's 6 adults and 5 children. It is perfect for our family in every way. The bedroom setup fits our needs perfectly. The kitchen has every utensil and item possible. The pool and hot tub just wonderful. Well, can't say enough about the house. Thanks for making it perfect. Today we went all went on the catamoran to the Na poli (sp) coast. Great snorkeling and fantastic views. What an enchanting island this is! Wish we could stay longer. Some day............. Well, Ning, we've planned this for 15 months, and the dream has come true. Thanks for making it possible. "Aloha, Ning! I wanted to thank you for opening your beautiful home to my family and me! We had a wonderful time exploring the island, and it was nice to come back to the comfort of a home. The home had everything we could need. While we had a large group of 12 people, no one felt like we were on top of one another even when making meals. It really was very comfortable! My sister-in-law and I were talking about how wonderful the home was and we would both recommend this house to a group. I love that it was quiet and felt somewhat secluded, yet there was everything you needed nearby. Thank you, again, Ning! The Hawaiian Hibiscus Home was the perfect way to spend our vacation on Kaua'i!!! We wish you the best and we will definitely recommend this home to others! Aloha! "We absolutely loved our stay. The kitchen is stocked full of pans/dishes, etc. There are Pack N Plays, high chairs and kids sand toys/floaties. There are tons of chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, masks, fins, snorkels. The pool is about 4 feet deep which means it was nice and warm all day, and perfect for our young kids just learning to swim. Ning is great to work with. The only reason I rated it 4 out of 5 was there was a bit of an ant problem downstairs and two parties in our group had complaints that the beds were either uncomfortable (lower twin room) or worn out (upstairs second master near the kitchen). We also had one day where the yard crew was there for a solid 6 hours. General yard maintenance is expected, but 6 hours is more than maintenance. We had zero privacy in the backyard for the core hours of the day when we would have liked to use the pool. Overall, we would definitely like to come back!" - Laura C., Mukilteo WA, 05/20/2019 (inquire/book) Aloha Laura, I am delighted to hear that you absolutely loved your stay and definitely like to come back! For the ant problem downstairs, this is a first since we bought the house (nine years ago). We have pest control treatment quarterly using organic treatment and they just treated the house in April. As soon as I got your review, I scheduled for ant inspection this coming week and will specifically treat for the ant problem. We also ask our guests not to leave open food (candy, pizza, juice, etc.) in the house because Kauai ants are amazing in finding left over food in a matter of hours no matter where it is! We shipped high-quality beds from mainland to this home at the same time, therefore both parties in your group were sleeping in the same brand bed as your bed. Their observations might be based on individual preferences. As our previous guest feedback mentioned that our mattresses are very comfortable and are on the softer side of the soft to firm spectrum. My apologies for the yard maintenance, we did not know it took this long. We expected it to take an hour or less. I will be sure to discuss with our gardener and make sure that he only schedules yard work on vacant days. When you come back again I guarantee you there will be none of these problems.

"The location is perfect, very quiet, and relaxing. There was plenty of space for all of us and they have actually remodeled the bathroom and a few other things since the pictures were taken. You don't need to take or buy beach equipment as they have a ton of stuff there already. They have an A/C unit in each room which allows each person to customize how cold/hot they want when sleeping, this was great! Go ahead and book the place, you won't be disappointed." - Leif K., 10/18/2018 (inquire/book) Mahalo Leif. We really appreciate your feedback and so glad to learn what are important things to you for a vacation home. Yes, we continue to update/remodel the Hawaiian Hibiscus home for our guests benefit.

"We traveled to Kauai with our children and grandchildren as a celebration of our 50th Anniversary. There were 9 of us and the home offered plenty of space for all of us to spread out and be very comfortable. We started planning quite a while ago. Ning , our owner was very easy to contact either by e-mail or by phone. She was very helpful offering information and suggestions. We wanted to have a family photo taken and Ning offered photographer suggestions as well. The house was well equipped whether you were going to the beach ( lots of towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, beach toys etc. )or relaxing by the pool and hot tub. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans and appliances and space to cook and enjoy meals at home. Of course we also enjoyed many of restaurants in the area. The property manager Evan was there when we arrived and took the time to show us around the area and offered many useful suggestions for stores, activities etc. He was very easy to contact by text or phone if needed. The comfort and convenience of the beautiful Hibiscus Home made an incredible trip even better. The memories of our special celebration on Kauai will stay with all of us for many years to come. Already telling friends and family about Hibiscus Homes. Have a great day... mahalo! Randy " - Randy C., San Diego, CA, 08/21/2018 (inquire/book) "We spent 2 weeks at the home in Kuaui. The first week there were 13 people, the second week there were 11. The home was more than adequate for all of us. The 5 bedrooms are large enough and located in the home to offer comfort and privacy for different sleeping patterns, youngest 10 months old. Kitchen, dining and living room facilities are all great. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, glassware and silverware, 2 stoves, 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers. Other features that help make this home perfect are the swimming pool, spa, air conditioning, beautiful landscaping and location. We were able to easily reach and enjoy Kauai attractions, restaurants and shopping. If we returned to Kauai we would definitely try to rent this home again. Each person in our group was able to fully enjoy the Kauai experience because we could enjoy the Hawaii Hibiscus Home." - Jim R., 07/29/2018 (inquire/book) Mahalo Jim and Mary! You made my day :)

" There are no words to describe how incredible our stay was. The comfort and convenience of your beautiful home was a large part. Evan was great. He was so helpful and informative— a great asset. The cleaning crew does a wonderful job too. The memories we created will stay with all of us for many years. Enjoyed waking up to the smell of coffee and the roosters! Attended church on Sunday (Calvary Chapel in Lihue) had lunch at Da Crack. Starbucks run down the way, Puka dogs, the beaches, the Luau at the Grand Hyatt. Everything you needed was at close hand. It was so hard to leave. This home was “home sweet home” to us for a week. "This house was planned with thought and care for vacationing groups and families. We had 4 children and 6 adults in our crew; we felt luxuriously relaxed between the warm pool and hot tub, perfect location near Poipu beach and every possible amenity you could think of! Fantastic kitchen for cooking for group, lots of local restaurants if you didn’t want to cook, and of course this is Hawaii. The host returned calls and or emails within hours, and there is an on-site manager who is charming and helpful in getting acquainted with the area. Cannot recommend this house enough! Pool toys, Beach chairs, umbrellas, tons of towels, two washers and dryer’s, lovely furnishings, tons of floor space to spread out. Our crew wanted to come back next week!" - Linda T., 06/18/2018 (inquire/book) Mahalo! We are delighted to hear that your group of 11 people felt luxuriously relaxed when you are at the Hawaiian Hibiscus home. Yes, we would love to have your come back next week :-)

"The Hawaiian Hibiscus home is located in an upscale golf village. The home met all the needs for our family of 8. The pool/spa was great for the kids, and adults, when at home and not at a beach. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and did not disappoint with beautiful sunsets and rainbows. The property owners where very easy to connect with along with their local management contact. For a family vacation all under one roof...this is the ideal location...check it out. Aloha" - Dick K., Riverside, CA, 06/14/2018 (inquire/book) Mahalo!

After much searching I came across the Hawaiian Hibiscus home rental. Ming, the owner, was very professional to deal with and I knew after speaking with her that this was the home for our gang. Evan, the house manager, was a wealth of information and very helpful with any of our needs. Home is well equipped and for those beach days you will find you need to just load up the gear available on the front lanai and head for the surf. Our group never needed to purchase a thing other than food and personal items, everything else was provided. Very quiet backyard area and lovely neighborhood." - Eric O., Bright's Grove, 01/23/2018 (inquire/book) "My husband and I recently enjoyed a two week stay here with our 3 adult children, their partners, and our 2 1/2 yr old grandson, and found Hibiscus House to be everything we were looking for, very well equipped for a large group. (2 gas cooktops, 2 sets of washer/dryer, 2 coffee pots etc.) Also well supplied with good quality small appliances and cookware, towels, extra bed linens, beach gear, even children’s toys. We tend to eat in most of the time, and enjoyed the large kitchen and dining room. The backyard is very private, lots of loungers and chairs, and the pool is larger than it appears in pictures. The house has ample room for privacy for all, and is in a beautiful, quiet, safe neighbourhood, steps to golfing and a short walk to restaurants and shopping. And in Poipu you are never far from the beach. Ning, the house owner, was great to deal with both before, during and after our visit. She and Evan, her property manager, were very attentive to any requests or concerns that we had, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. Ning and Evan, thank you, and I would definitely recommend your house to a friend." - Barb W., 01/18/2018 (inquire/book) Mahalo Barb!

"The Hibiscus House was a perfect location and fit for our family retreat to Kauai. We had 11 in our party and the home could easily accommodate more. The children in our party loved the pool and hot tub and this allowed the adults plenty of down time :) The home’s kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. We used the Vitamix multiple times to make tropical smoothies! The house is only a two minute drive to the beach and the owners have provider all the stuff you would need. We enjoyed using the snorkels, boogie boards, beach chairs and ice chests. The home owner and house manager were very easy to work with and gave great advise in exploring the island. "When we arrived at the Hibiscus House, Evan was there to greet us and made sure we were familiar with the property. He also was very helpful showing us around the area and giving us some information on great places not to be missed. The house was beautiful and accommodated our party of 11 easily. There was plenty of space and beds for everyone. It was very well organized and stocked, it had EVERYTHING you need inside and out! We found the beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers very helpful!!! This house exceeded our expectations. We would stay here again on our next trip to Kauai! It wasn't right on the beach, but the neighborhood was cute and great for morning walks. Our home is in the prestigious Kiahuna Golf Village and only 1.3 mile to Poipu Beach (one of the best beaches on Kauai). The house has 5 bedrooms that can accommodate everyone comfortably with privacy. For extra guests (>10 people), we have the second living room, with Lazy-Boy convertible queen and twin sofas. We will get memory foam topping so that whoever sleep in the second living room will be more comfortable. This room has doors which can be closed to block noise from other rooms. We have curtains on the windows/doors blocking sunrise. I believe you meant it would be nice to have curtain on the door between the main living room and the second living room. That is a good suggestion and we will have the curtains on the door next month (as of April 2017).

"We were a large family group of grandparents, parents and 3 small children. The home is spacious and as described in the listing. The neighborhood is peaceful and close to the beach and shopping. The house was clean with comfy beds and furnishings. It was great having our own pool, and really nice to not smell like chlorine. Also great to have all the baby gear - highchairs, playpens and baby gates. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The coffee maker quit working and Evan, the property manager, had another one there in less than an hour. Evan was more than helpful answering questions about things to see and do. The house itself was extremely clean when we arrived and it has everything you'll need: lots of sleeping space in very comfortable beds; a huge kitchen with multiple fridges, two stovetops, two dishwashers, two sinks, ample space for cooking and saving money from eating out (go to Costco when you arrive!); small but definitely sufficient pool and hot tub on a great deck with lots of space (kids LOVED this!); tons of pool/beach toys that you won't have to buy/rent (boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, floats, beach chairs, coolers, etc. Furthermore, Evan was a huge help with giving us advice on things to do close to the house, and he was always available if we needed anything or had any questions. Ning, the owner, was also wonderful throughout the booking process all the way through checkout. We had a great vacation staying at this home, and I highly recommend it for a similar size group. Enjoy!" - Aree N., 11/09/2016 (inquire/book) "My family of four and a friend's family of five stayed at this wonderful home for a full week. We are still talking about what a wonderful time we had. We went swimming in the salt water (no chlorine smell and drying out your hair!), heated swimming pool every day. We did a bunch of cooking while there and all of the appliances worked perfectly and were VERY clean and there was nothing that we needed that the house didn't have. The property manager Evan was very helpful and friendly but never intrusive. I wish there were something that I could suggest or recommend be changed but there honestly isn't. It was truly a wonderful place that brought so many great memories for our family. Thank you Ning! You made the whole process so easy and I felt so kept in the loop. If I had to choose one favorite feature, I would say the pool. I didn't want to go anywhere else once we got there. Best staycation we've ever had." - Joy N., 10/21/2016 (inquire/book) "We MORE THAN enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The pictures are gorgeous but it still somehow doesn't do the home justice. They were still doing some cleaning but that was fine since we were there sooner. I had requested that a room that had two twins be changed to s King, but they hadn't done that. They came back the next day to change it out. The owner later told me she hadn't seen my email when I sent it. That was no problem. They had everything you would need. The spa turned off the first day but we called the man whom had cleaned the house and said it was a fuse, east fix, no problems after that. I would suggest they take the row of rocks out of the grass by driveway. It got in the way of opening our car doors. They were pulled from the grass and moved slightly back but I think people could trip over them and get injured also. The pool and spa was nice. Lots of be beach and pool equipment to use. I would Reccommend staying at this house, gray location to shopping plaza and near beach." - Debbie S., Redlands, CA, 09/30/2016 (inquire/book) Thank you for your comments regarding our home’s great location: near shopping plaza and beaches, nice private pool and spa and lots of home amenities. After booking, later you informed me that you planed to host a bachelor party at the house on Sept 10 and wanted to rent extra tables/chairs for the party night involving 25 people. We could not accommodate your request because the house is for up to 13 people, in a peaceful residential area and we rented our home with the rental agreement that there will be no party and no smoking inside the house. We asked our friend, Kauai personal concierge (free of charge), to help you with arrangements of the bus transportation and wedding party. We are glad that everything went well and you enjoyed your stay. Our driveway is large enough to park up to 4 normal vehicles without hitting anything. We will make sure the rocks are moved slightly back on the lawn and are not in the way. Our homeowners association does not permit parking on the grass overnight. Therefore the coconuts/small lava rocks are put on the periphery of the front lawn to prevent parking on the lawn. Our home has 3 king bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms, any request for converting twin beds to a king bed can be done easily so you can have all 5 King bedrooms for your stay. Finally our standard check-in time is at 4 PM but if guests arrive significantly earlier the cleaning crew might still be there. We ask guests to contact our home manager, letting him know when they plan to be at the house. In case guests arrive early while the crew is still cleaning the house, they can drop their bags in the garage and take beach towels, boogie boards and beach chairs to enjoy the beach for a few hours. We take pride in providing our guests with a great home in a great location and all the amenities our guests will need during the fabulous vacation.

"Absolutely loved this place. Had every convenience that you could think of. For a house this size and the number of people it could hold, the accommodations were OUTSTANDING!! Two fridges with ice makers was a huge key - filtered water was a major bonus. The A/C was just right to get the hot out of the air - everything in the house was nicely labeled so we didn't have to open every single drawer to find things. If you have a large group of people this is the house to get - no question ... We're coming back to Kauai and we will stay here again." - Kevin H., 07/28/2016 (inquire/book) "Absolutely loved this place. Had every convenience that you could think of. It is everything it is advertised to be. It is most well furnished home I have ever rented. The kitchen is well organized and labeled with sets of everything for more than 20 and equipment to bake or cook anything. It is very large and spacious providing enough room for all. The pool is not large but large enough to fit all of us and the hot tub was fabulous. I highly recommend this property for family gatherings." - Mary Jo H., 07/12/2016 (inquire/book) "Our family of 9 just spent a wonderful vacation at the Hibiscus Home in Kauai. The house easily accommodated our group and everyone had their own space with a bedroom and bathroom. The common areas were plenty large and it was comfortable to hang out, cook together, and enjoy each other's company. We like the location because it's a less than 5 minute drive to Poipu Beach. The house is absolutely STOCKED with all kinds of beach gear including boogie boards, beach chairs and mats, umbrellas and snorkel gear. It was great to see all of those things waiting for us when we arrived. We had great communication with the home owner and property manager and I am confident that if we had needed anything, we would have had a quick response. It was well equipped, spacious, and great proximity to many shops, restaurants and beaches. It was easy to find, in a quiet neighborhood, clean and well-maintained and Evan was very accommodating and helpful. We had some issues with the house; -Many stairs to negotiate to get the front door. My son-in-law slipped bringing clothes to the car on departure day and it had just rained. He is OK, but it was a close call. -Air conditioning is a number of individual units strategically placed. Result is some areas are cool and other areas in the same room are warm. -Hard to open several windows thus we were not able to take advantage of the sea breezes. We were instructed not to leave AC on in the room, thus it was always hot and not very usable. -Master bedroom was magnificent, yet the one AC unit for a room of this size is inadequate to keep the room cool during the day. Small room where the toilet is has no exhaust fan. It becomes sauna during the day. It would have been nice to have some doors, especially when one person is sleeping and the other wants to use one of the sinks. The house was very well equipped with clear instructions when needed. The manager, Evan, was extremely accommodating and helpful. It is a great house for a group of our size and everyone enjoyed the location; proximity to the beach, restaurants and other things to do and see. Thanks for letting us use your lovely home." - Benjamin M., Seattle, 07/20/2015 (inquire/book) We are glad to hear that your family had a wonderful stay at Hibiscus Home and that your grand children enjoyed the pool. I would like to address the minor points raised in your review. 1. Stairs: The main entrance is reached by a gently sloped walkway, which has total of 10 shallow steps in groups of two separated by landings with bench in the middle for rest as shown in the pictures. We learned from our home manager that your wife was on oxygen and you also had difficulty walking. Clearly any step will be difficult for you. We hope the landings were helpful. When carrying large or bulky items while going up or down the stairs, more caution is needed especially after rain. Our stairs are painted with non-skid paint and there are non-skid edges to all the steps as well as having non skid doormats in front of the steps in each landing. 2. AC: In Kauai, most homes are designed not to have AC (because of the highest electricity cost in the USA , >40 cents/kW-hr) and the almost continuous trade winds. You stayed during an unusually warm week of July 2015. Our home has AC and very large ceiling fans in every room, in addition the home has high ceilings. Our instructions did say “please do not leave AC on when there is no occupant in the house”. In view of your experience I have already changed the rental agreement to leave AC on in the living room. 3. Windows: Typical Kauai window is jalousie type, which uses a cranking mechanism to open and it might take ~7 seconds to open. Again for very elderly it is possible that this is a difficult task because you have to bend down. Leaving windows open at front and in the back normally lets the trade winds flow through the house nicely during the hot summer days. Our downstairs bedrooms, upstairs dining room and second living room all have very easy to open sliding windows. Other rooms all have wooden jalousies for ventilation 4. Magnificent master bedroom but no AC in the bathroom: The bathroom and shower area have large jalousie windows. The bathroom and shower windows can be opened for ventilation as well as enjoying the views in privacy because they look at the flowering trees in our garden and the Heiau. The AC in the bedroom was sized according to manufacturer recommendations and under normal conditions is more than adequate to cool the room. Thank you for letting us know that the house was very well equipped, great house for large family, close to the beaches, restaurants, activities, etc.

"Thank you for returning our security deposit. We arrived home last night, tired but very content. Our 10 days in Kauai and at the Hibiscus home were wonderful. The house layout and size were perfect for our needs. We even had two grand children learn to swim in your pool! We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Kauai and discovered that Poipu was, in our opinion, the best spot on the island. Thank you so much for making your home so comfortable. Evan Price was so kind and gracious. We really appreciated all of his assistance. We look forward to another stay at the Hibiscus home. The service from the booking agent was great. I would recommend this rental to both family and friends. I loved everything about this trip. The people are friendly- Captain Andy's dinner cruise was great, the, the Helicopter ride was beautiful, we enjoyed everything we did and we all hope to go again someday." - Linda S., 1215 Mary Anne Drive,Ri, 06/06/2015 (inquire/book) "The home is spacious with all the amenities you would need for a large family to enjoy. "This very attractive house has great spaces on multiple levels, perfect for a large group to mingle or to get away. The kitchen is large and well equipped, with two of everything (stoves, dishwashers, fridges, etc.) The hot tub was brand new and very nice. The pool was very enjoyable for the grandchildren. The neighbourhood was attractive and very quiet, close to shopping and the beach. We also enjoyed the Kiahuna Golf Club, available for 9 or 18 holes. The property manager was very accommodating. One suggestion: photos on the website need to be updated!" - Margot L., 01/29/2015 (inquire/book) Aloha, Yes, we just changed the hot tub to a larger one; 7 person, Deluxe 75-jet with continuous Ozone sterilizer, multi-color LED lights and built-in Bluetooth Sound System (iPod/MP3 connection). This new hot tub is sitting taller than what is seen in the picture. Bedspreads are renewed almost on a yearly basis thus the colors of the bedspreads are not always the same as the pictures. However, the arrangement of the furniture and bedrooms are almost exactly the same as the website pictures. We always make changes for the better and some times the pictures lag behind the upgrades. "The Hawaiian Hibiscus Home was perfect for our group of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. Very spacious and clean and the owner and the local housekeeper were very pro-active and communicative. It is well located in the Poipu area - close to golf, the beaches and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and the landscaping is beautiful. We would definitely stay there in the future." - Charles S., 11/18/2014 (inquire/book) "The Hawaiian Hibiscus Home was perfect for our group of 8, 6 adults and 2 children. We stayed with my daughter, son in law and their 2 1/2 yr old and 10 month old twins. The home is 3 levels, we put the twins downstairs in porta cribs (provided by the owners) with a baby monitor. The Master bedrooms are at opposite ends of the very large home. The pool is perfect, we used it 2 - 3 times a day. We rarely left the house as it had everything we needed. The owners were very kind and helpful with any questions we had. I would come back here in a heartbeat! Great location, beautiful, large home with everything!!!" - Jeanne F., 11/01/2014 (inquire/book) "We loved this home. It had everything a family could possibly want and more than enough room for a large group. Thank you for the thoughtful touches such as the chocolates, coffee, basic food condiments and toiletries. Our 5 year old niece made good use of the games and the colouring pencils, and the men enjoyed the use of the snorkel equipment. We would absolutely love to return to Kauai and hopefully when we do, your property will be available. Thank you very much for making our 40th birthday a success! Regards, Tracie " - Tracie P., Revesby NSW 2212,Sy, 10/30/2014 (inquire/book) "Thank you so much for sharing your awesome home with a group of us from Oregon. I feel compelled to say, however. The house is NOT infirm friendly! I had a very difficult time entering and exiting the home. The 3 flights of stairs from driveway to main floor definitely need hand rails. Good thing I had my cane and many friends to help me up and down. I also was unable to enjoy the hot tub or pool for the same reason. Not safe. Thank you so much for a wonderful vacation." - linda, Oregon, 03/16/2014 (inquire/book) Thank you for letting us know that our Hawaiian Hibiscus home is an awesome home. I am very sorry to hear that you could not enjoy pool/spa fully. We were not informed that there would be an infirm person in your group. If we had known we would have recommended to walk across the lawn to the door rather than walk up the wooden path (which has only six steps and a bench to rest) from the drive way. Of course you can also get into the first floor without climbing any stairs directly from the parking area. I assume you had easy access to all the areas on the entrance floor level (three bedrooms, living rooms, kitchen, dinning rooms ). Unfortunately, we do not have hand rails to the pool and the spa. We will think of a way to put them in. We are glad to hear that had your cane and many friends to help out.

"We had 11 wonderful days at the Hibiscus Home. The best part was the heavenly warm pool!.It was such a delightful temperature that our very young grandson was able to stay in the water for long periods and learn to swim! He then wanted to learn to snorkle, so the pool became the practice site for that. He far prefered the pool to the beach. We want to thank the property manager, Evan, for keeping the pool and hot tub in sparkling clean condition. Even following a terribly windy and rainy night, Evan appeared the next morning to clear out all debris in the pool from the previous nights storm. Evan also promptly responded when one of the kitchen faucets began to leak. Because it was a Sunday night, we did not call him until the next morning. Evan managed to purchase a new faucet, probably miles away in Lihue, and replace the faucet, all in a couple of hours. My reluctance to give this home 5 stars is because of the following. The home should be marketed as a4 bedroom, not as a 5 bedroom. A room that must have been a den/office has been filled with 2 twin beds. This room does not have closet, and no armoire/wardrobe, or hooks of any kind have been provided. Hence the 2 adults in that so-called bedroom had to share the closet in our bedroom adjacent to theirs. Also, in an attempt to accomodate the occuoants of this bedroom, a very small but pretty bathroom was carved out of a breakfast/bar area. Unfortunately, this bathroom shared a wall with our bedroom; whenever that bathroom was used, our bedroom would echo with the thunderous noise. We were frequently jolted awake at night with the crescendo of the shower and exhaust fan. I realize nothing can be done to correct this lack of sound insulation. But I think its only fair to warn tenants of this reality. To sum up, this is a great home for children because of the warm temperature of the pool. Evan is very accommodating and responsive to the needs of the tenants. One day when we returned with muddy cars, he took a hose and washed off the mud, much to our surprise and delight. Thats going above and beyond what is expected, and it is very appreciated. Thanks, Evan!" - hawaii lover, ashland, or, 01/29/2014 (inquire/book) Glad to hear that you had a good time, enjoyed our warm pool/spa, great response from our property manager. We heard from many guests that their children learn to swim in our pool! This pool is safe, warm and just the right size for kids to learn swimming/snorkeling and for adults to relax. Of course, the spa for 6 adults is next to it, so adults can enjoy the spa while watching their children having fun in the pool. The Hawaiian Hibiscus is one of the largest home in Poipu (4000 sq ft interior and 2000 sq ft lanai area). Even though the twin bedroom does not have closet but there is a large dresser, we truly believe this home is an excellent value and plenty of room/privacy to market as a 5 bedroom home. The home has 2 sets of everything for large groups (refrigerators, cooktops, dishwashers, washers/dryers & hot water tanks). Nevertheless, thank you for your comments regarding the twin bedroom on the entrance floor and the bathroom noise. This week (as of April 2014), we built a closet in this twin bedroom so every bedroom now has closet. We will replace this twin bedroom to a king bedroom and install another AC. So the Hawaiian Hibiscus home now have 5 bedrooms (with closet and AC); 4 kings and 2 twin beds. We also have a convertible queen bed and a convertible twin bed in the second living room to accommodate up to 13 people in bed. Sorry for the noise from the 4th bathroom that shared a wall with the second master suite's bedroom. The solution is to close the door in between the second master suite bedroom and its bathroom. This door will provide the maximum privacy in your second master suite.

"Ning: It was a pleasure to stay in your home. It is as beautiful as the pictures! It was very comfortable and well equipped. You have thought of almost everything. I even had a yoga mat to use! It is the first rental home we have rented on any of the islands that we were actually able to sleep very comfortably in due to the quality of the mattress. THANK YOU ! Infact all seven of the family members were very comfortable and slept well. The pool and hot tub were very enjoyable and having all the beach equipment and ice chests available to us were very helpful. It is the perfect home for a family gathering. The two refrigerators, two dish washers, two washing machines and dryers make it extremely convenient and easy. We truly enjoyed your home! It is an older house and is not being taken care of as well as it could be. The other big issue we had was the cleanliness of the home. The counters in the kitchen, stove top, all the floors needed vacuumed and mopped. There was all kinds of dust, food, trash under master bedroom bed and couch. I requested housekeeping to come back, which they did but still the job was not done well. We have stayed in many homes in many places and I will say that I am a bit more picky about things being clean but this really fell short. We also had an issue with the hot tub not being tended to, we were told a pool man came twice a week but the bromine was totally gone in the hot tub We have stayed at many homes, but this one did not meet our expectations. It is a great location, in a nice neighborhood and very quiet. We have found it helpful when staying at other homes that the manager/owner have stopped by to meet us and go over things. Also if there could be another location for the grill it would be helpful. We could not use it for 4 nights because it would not heat up. We were told when the trade winds blow from the east it doesn't work." - Cheri A., North Bend, WA, 01/02/2013 (inquire/book) I am glad you agree that Hawaiian Hibiscus home is in a great location- nice neighborhood, very quiet and the home has lots of good qualities. While the home is 14 years old it is continuously renovated: new floors were put in 2007, new furniture in 2009 and new AC’s last year. Right after you left, we replaced many windows and several doors. The island is small, not everything is available instantaneously. It took 3 months to get the windows. We also installed a second dishwasher. This home now has 2 sets of everything for large groups (refrigerators, cooktops, dishwashers, washers/dryers & hot water tanks). We will be more thorough with how the home is cleaned. As of February 2013, we replaced new cleaning crew and home manager. Please keep in mind that you are staying in a home so there is no daily cleaning service, thus, the home will need vacuuming/mopping depending on how you used the house. We provide all the cleaning equipment in the cabinet near the 2nd dinning room. Our home manager, Bill got 17 text messages and 6 phone calls from you, he responded back quickly to each one of your request. Our spa is sterilized by ozone as the water recirculates. Ozone is better for the skin, but our pool/spa person puts bromine as an add-on. The spa was clean even though the presence of bromine was not there. Similarly our pool is a salt-water pool and does not need external addition of chlorine. We also provide a pool robot to clean the pool for everyday use by the guests. We chose an infrared grill for tastier food and to prevent flaming of fatty meats. The grill needs to be outdoors; unfortunately the week you stayed was very windy, resulting in longer heating times for the grill. We will think of a new location for it. Our philosophy is continuous improvement and providing a comfortable home with all the amenities for a real enjoyable vacation. We do whatever it takes to make our guests comfortable and happy.

"The house could not have been any better! Close to the beach and restaurants but still quite as a mouse at night. Neighborhood was very nice and felt very safe. The beaches near by were some of the best we saw on all of the islands. Kauai has lots to offer but would have been perfectly happy just staying near the house! As for the house itself, it was as nice as you would dream of and the pics don't do it justice. The house made our vacation perfect!" - Anthony K., 12/19/2012 (inquire/book) Mahalo! The house is in the most prestigious and very peaceful area, and yes! it is still very close to all the attractions especially the beaches: Poipu, Brenneck’e, Shipwreck and Lawai. Within 2 miles there are 3 golf courses; Kiahuna golf, Poipu Bay, Kukuiula Golf and 2 shopping complexes; Poipu shopping village and Kukuiula. There are biking paths, Makawehi Lithified hiking, ATV, horseback riding, botanical garden, spouting horn and much more within 3 miles from home.

"The Hawaiian Hibiscus home was our home away from home while we were on Kauai. It is a perfect house for multiple families traveling together. With two master suites, large kitchen (with 2 refrigerators and 2 sinks), and 2 sets of washer/dryers, the 11 of us weren't getting in each others' way at all. I am glad to hear that your large group weren’t getting in each others’ way at all. We have tried to think of every convenience to accommodate large groups with comfort and privacy. You are right there is no AC downstairs but the downstairs gets the cool air from the water heater heat pump, we direct cool air from the pool heat pump to general area downstairs. You will feel downstairs area is cooler. We already got the largest electrical meter that county allow, maximize the electrical usage with 5 AC plus 2 sets of several appliances, so we still are thinking hard how to put AC downstairs. However, we have fan in every room for fresh air and while having the windows open, you will also hear bird chirping nicely.

"We enjoyed the house very much, plenty of room for everyone. It was close to baby beach and with the two little ones it was perfect. The highchairs were perfect for everyone to enjoy eating in the dining room. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub and great location for just walking around the neighborhood. Plenty of beach chairs, towels and toys, thank you. We had eight adults and two children under the age of two and the five bedrooms were perfect. It was a very cozy home and we really had a wonderful time there for the nine nights we spent. I would recommend this house to my friends and would love to return with my family again." - travelbug, Montana, 10/29/2012 (inquire/book) Dear Jim, We are delighted that you had a great time in our Hibiscus Home. We do our best to provide our guests with a comfortable, clean and luxurious home with all the amenities and it is always gratifying to hear from our guests that they have enjoyed staying in our home. "First I have to say that you will extremely well cared for if you stay at Hibiscus house by the owner Ning or the on-island managers Bill and Kay. We had a few questions on how things worked and got very prompt help on everything. The house is so large! it is perfect for a family reunion or a wedding party or any special event. There is enough room for everyone to have privacy but still come together in any one of the several 'public' spaces. The master suite alone is worth a stay! We absolutely loved lounging there on the huge sectional sofa, watching tv or catching up on unfortunate computer work! In addition to the large king bed, there is an additional chair, walk in closet, super huge multi shower head walk in shower, oversize soaking tub! The master suite also has a private lanai with a table, chairs and hammock - and the surprise bonus is a sunset sky view across the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and especially the hot tub! The pool sweep was easy to use and worked very well. The kitchen was huge with 2 of everything - stoves, refrigerators, sinks. Perfect for big cooking events. There are even 2 washers and 2 dryers. The a/c was a nice bonus throughout most of the house." - Cynthia H., 10/04/2012 (inquire/book) Thank you very much Cynthia! Nothing rewarding than hearing that you enjoyed your stay. "Dear Ning I wanted to let you know we recieved the check for the damage deposit yesterday. I also wanted to say thank you for the bottle of wine and chocolates you provided at the house when we arrived. We had such a great time on our vacation. The house was so perfect for our group. We all wanted to just stay there and live for a few weeks but it was fun while it lasted. The house is so beautiul and the setting was a dream. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it as a family. Best wishes, Kathleen Dibble " - Kathleen D., Salt Lake City, UT, 08/11/2012 (inquire/book) "Our extended family of seven had plenty of room to spread out, but still be together for pool time, meals, etc. They've now added a/c to both the living area and dining area, making the home extra cool and comfortable. It is an older home and some areas need a little TLC (ie, the rotted outside door in basement bathroom), but the positives still greatly outweighed any issues we had. I would suggest extra care be taken to ensure that the pool is clean when guests arrive, as we took it upon ourselves to do so and first impressions can be very strong. Maybe getting a pool sweep would help with making this process more automated. We walked in the mornings and the neighborhood was so peaceful and well maintained. You are just right down the road from great restaurants and shopping, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. Ning, Kay and Bill were all very helpful and accomodating." - Julie P., 06/20/2012 (inquire/book) Thank you for your valuable review and feedback. Yes we have the whole entrance floor; 2 living rooms, large kitchen, dinning room with AC. Both master suites also have AC, privacy and they are the most luxurious bedrooms compare to the other bedrooms. Since you stayed in the bedroom down stair and suggest AC, we are considering puting AC there as well. However, before we can do that we have to get permission from our Kiahuna association and get Kauai Electric company to increase the power coming to the house. Right now we have 100 Amp allocation and it is maxed out. For downstairs bathroom, I assume you are talking about the extra door that can be opened directly to the garden from the bathroom. There are not many guests using it, we will replace with a nice panel with good ventilation instead. This will be done before the end of June 2012. As to the pool, we have 5 royal palm trees next to the pool, with lots of mature flowering trees, they makes the backyard beautiful. We love to watch them swaying in the wind while enjoying ourselves in the pool or spa. However, on occasion, they shed their fronds and with the wind direction, some of it get into our pool. We will cut three nearest out. Our pool/spa guy comes twice a week for maintenance of the pool&spa. So I believe this problem should be solved shortly. We provide robotic pool cleaner but it had broken down during your stay. I had to bring the parts from mainland and it is already fixed. We have always used it to clean the pool automatically. Thanks again for your suggestions. We always listen to our guest's need/ request and do everything we can to make your stay more enjoyable.

"Need some REAL R&R ? Doesn't get much better than this. Everything we read about this house was real plus more. We were in desperate need of some serious downtime and this property provided it. Not a thing more we could have asked for. Thanks Ning...you were more than kind." - Donna S., 06/13/2012 (inquire/book) "Need some REAL R&R ? Doesn't get much better than this. My husband and daughter loved all the flowers around the property. We slept in the lower bedrooms which were not air conditioned, which was fine with all the windows opened and the sliding glass door open but it could get a little warm. There were also ceiling fans that helped. I googled map the property before coming and was hopeing we could walk to the beach but it really was too far. We did cook a lot at the house and I was happy to see a well equipped kitchen. Although I couldn't find a garlic press. Two refrigerator was very helpful with all the drinks we had on hand. Boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers and snorkle gear was much appreciated! A perfect getaway home!" - Lisa K., Denver, Colorado, 06/08/2012 (inquire/book) "The home was beautifully decorated. The kids enjoyed the pool everyday and it made life easier to not have to be on the go all the time. Poipu is beautiful with great weather. We were visting from Kona on the Big Island. The private pool and spa are always a great feature to have and we are glad you enjoyed them.

It was very relaxing to be in such a pretty and private location, and the heated pool and hot tub were excellent features. The house is comfortable, beautifully furnished and well equipped, and great value compared to the much smaller and less private condos available elsewhere. "WE had a great time - lovely house and plenty of room. WE ate most of our meals there and were delighted to find spices, condiments, etc left by others. It was easy to get to the variety of things to do. The managers were easy to get in touch with when we had any questions and helped us finding golf courses to play. Mahalo to everyone." - Gretchen, Rochester, NY, 08/30/11 (inquire/book) "We stayed at the Hawaiian Hibiscus home this past August for two weeks and found the house to be as comfortable as staying in our own home -- just in Kauai! Ning is very thoughtful and the house is fully stocked and the location is superb. We had our two kids and a set of grandparents and it was perfect. The kids went "frog hunting" each night in the neighborhood with flashlights which was fun. The two fridges and two washer and dryers were very convenient as well as the TVs and DVDs in each room. It was awesome to have the pool and jacuzzi too. We love Kauai and staying in this home made our trip even more enjoyable." - Julie Supan, San Francisco, 08/27/11 (inquire/book) "Hibiscus House exceeded expectations. We were a family group of 10, and everyone had a great time." - Larry Selwitz, Newport Beach, CA, 07/22/11 (inquire/book) "Our stay in Kauai was wonderful, and we attribute a lot of that to the fact that we stayed at hibiscus house. It gave all ten of us our own space and also allowed all of us to mingle. It is a wonderful house and Kauai is a wonderful island. We'd rent it again in a heartbeat!" - Anonymous, Billings, MT, 06/20/11 (inquire/book) "We booked the Hawaiian Hibiscus Home months in advance (recommended). We are so happy that we did because it looks like the dates fill fast! Once we arrived I realized why! The home is very large and it was PERFECT, we were traveling with our two kids (8 and 13) as well as my sister, her spouse and daughter (age 14). We had more than enough room, in fact everyone enjoyed some down time in separate areas of the house. My husband loved the sunroom, the kids loved the pool, I spent some quiet time in the master suite (nice and cool a/c)... The kitchen was well equipped and we loved having coffee each morning to sound of tropical birds in the garden. Great location, so close to shopping, restaurants and the beach!! We all LOVED the pool, it was a perfect way to cool off in the warm Poipu sun! The only negative was that the livingroom gets uncomfortably warm in the evening. The a/c is only in two of the 5 bedrooms, so we would seek relief in the evenings in the two bedrooms or pool. It did not hinder our enjoyment and we understand that most homes on Kauai do not have a/c. But a more powerful ceiling fan or window fan would provide some relief in the evenings. Overall we had a blast! It was a true pleasure, thank you Ning!" - TJ and Rachel, Turlock, CA, 04/29/11 (inquire/book) "Mahalo Ning,Our stay in your house was the best we have had in the Islands. From the beds to the pool to the kitchen everything was outstanding. We would stay there in a heartbeat when we go back! Thanks again.D" - David and Jana Dorsey, Steamboat Springs,Co., 01/31/11 (inquire/book) "Lovely, spacious house with a great kitchen, comfy beds and a quiet neighborhood. A five minute drive to Poipu beach and close enough to many other activities on the island that you don't waste all day driving. Loved it!" - Bruce Boysen, Los Angeles, CA, 10/18/10 (inquire/book) "Aloha and a big Mahalo for the use of your BEAUTIFUL HOME, the home was fabulous. Picture perfect and much better in person. Thank you for all the extras. Our family definitly will be back. Loooved it!!!!!!" - Sharon & Joey Hill, San Pablo,Ca, 09/09/10 (inquire/book) "We really enjoyed our stay at the Hawaiian Hibiscus home. Fit our two families (7 people) comfortably. The pool was a nice attraction for the kids. Extras that came in handy were the beach chairs/mats/ umbrella plus nice to have two washing machines and dryers!! Big thanks to Bill (property manager) for helping us throughout our stay...very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again." - Dave K, Calgary, AB, Canada, 08/06/10 (inquire/book) "The house was wonderful and the neighborhood was great too. We loved our stay here and we would highly recommend it to anyone else. Two thumbs up from the newly married Constable duo!" - Karina Constable, Greenville, NC, 07/07/10 (inquire/book) "The Hibiscus House was everything advertised and more. Three families stayed in total comfort from 6/20/10 to 6/27/10. The pool, spa, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc were perfect. We all hope to get back to the "House" in the near future. Thank you!" - Steve McElvain, Mindan NV, 07/06/10 (inquire/book) "My family and I had the priviledge of staying in the Hawaiian Hibicus Home at Poipu Beach from April 11th 2010 until April 18th, 2010. The home has every amenity of my home and more. It was spacious, clean and tranquil. My family of ten had no problems hanging out together or spending time away from each other. The neighborhood is very appealing to the eye and all properties are well kept. The neighbors and the people of Kauai are very friendly and eager to help if needed. The guest information book found inside the home is full of lots of information for visitors to Kauai. Trust me, READ the book! It will save you time when you are planning your day. The home has lots of surprising extras such as: beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and snorkeling gear. I would highly recommend this home to others, you will not be disappointed. The first night after a long travel day we enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub. Thank you very much for having the house prepared for our arrival. Your home was just perfect for our group (3 couples, 2 kids), and we had everything we needed. The layout is fantastic, and there was plenty of space to be together or to get some quiet time away. The very large dining tables, BBQ, and kitchen really allowed us to spend most meals at your home, and the coolers allowed us to bring lunch to the beach. It was fantastic. Thank you for thinking of everything we could need while we stayed, and for the wonderful comfort of all the furniture, space, and amenities (Beds are great!). A great location too! All the travel books & binder of information was also very helpful. Thanks also for sending me back my mirror-I still plan to send you a thank you! The house was so comfy and we appreciated having all the extras for the beach and spices for the kitchen. It was a truly relaxing time. I t was nice to have the hamock and have some quiet time. The house was enjoyed by all of us to cook, relax and enjoy each others company. Mahalo, Ning you are wonderful to work with I hope we can stay again sometime. Linda" - Linda R., Bismarck ND, 03/15/2010 (inquire/book) "We had an amazing visit to Kauai for our wedding. It was very very hot that day and the air conditioning in the home made it possible for all of the women in the wedding to get ready comfortable in the master suite! Everybody who stayed there could not believe how amazing this house was and it made lodging affordable for my large family. I hope we will be able to return soon and stay in this home again. Zero complaints." - Jasmine C., morgan hill,ca, 03/15/2010 (inquire/book) "Ning-great house! Being able to jump in the jazcuzzi the 1st night after a full day of travel was the perfect way to start the vacation. The pool was great place to hang out in-between activities or waiting for others to get ready for the next adventure. Your care takers were very responsive to our questions/issues. A great location too! All the travel books & binder of information was also very helpful. Thanks also for sending me back my mirror-I still plan to send you a thank you! Too much of a rat-race back here (I'm 4 months past due on these comments! YIKES!) Thanks for opening up your home-it is much more beautiful than the pictures on the Web site. Mahalo!" - Sandy Lien, Hopkins, MN, 03/15/2010 (inquire/book) "We Loved our stay at the Hibiscus Home. Online pictures are nice but the place is a lot better in person. Your home was a perfect fit for our group of 10 (8 adults plus 2 children ages three and one). There was plently of space for everyone in the house, your home is in a beautiful neighborhood, and Poipu is such a great location. Whether the sun was coming up, or the moon was high in the sky, you could always find one of us enjoying the backyard pool & hot tub. A big thank you for providing all the little 'extras' as well - we were pleasantly surprised to find the snorkeling gear, and the big coolers came in handy on more than one occassion. Beautiful, spacious and relaxing!" - Lori, Bellevue, WA, 02/16/10 (inquire/book) "We just returned home from a lovely stay in Kauai, and are quite sad to be back! Our kiddos loved the pool, as did we, and it was so nice and quiet. Now if we could just get rid of the roosters on Kauai. :) Mahalo!! Terri" - Terri, Bellevue, WA, 02/16/10 (inquire/book) "Thank you very much Ning! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at your home. Everything was fantastic! We also left some sand toys for any future kids that might come stay at the house - hope that was ok and will be enjoyed by many in the future. You have a lovely home, and everything was great - including the managers who we met the first day and also called a couple times to give us some great information. We did get to see some whales, some dolphins, and sea turtles, which was a highlight. Everything was great, and we really had everything we needed (thank you for leaving out the beach towels, chairs, and coolers - those were very nice to have!). We hope to be able to get back to Kauai, and would love to be able to stay in your home again. All the best! Terri " - Lori C., Bellevue, WA, 02/13/2010 (inquire/book) "We had a great time at the house. The location was wonderful, and in perfect proximity to a toddler/baby beach. The first night after a long travel day we enjoyed a glass of wine in the hot tub. Thank you very much for having the house prepared for our arrival. Was a great start to our vacation. Both couples found the house very accommodating. Probably spent more time out on the back deck than we should have! We all loved the layout of the house. Was great being in a quiet location after a full day of adventure. Appreciate all of the nice touches and extra’s that you provide with the home, that we fully utilized. A great place with lots of room, in a very good location, with lots of extra's for guests. It was great. The location was wonderful. The house was equipped with everything we needed. The mornings were leisurely, with everyone getting up and getting their own breakfast when they wanted. We explored as much of the island as we could and put 1350 miles on the rental van during our stay. The home lived up to its billing and was more than spacious enough for all 8 of us to enjoy and not get in each other's way. The evening breezes were so nice as they blew through the property. We couldn't drag the kids out of the pool! The bikes were fantastic and the kids used them every day to ride around the loop so having them was really appreciated. I added a few (of the more than 1400) photos I took. We'd love to return. Bill was very accommodating. The phone was down and he got that taken care of without us having to be around. We had a wonderful time and felt so privileged to be able to stay in such wonderful surroundings. Kent " - Gina E., , 08/17/2008 (inquire/book) "We had a very comfortable stay in this home, in a very quiet and beautiful part of the island. The house is spacious, the starting amenities provided were ample and generous (sugar/tea/coffee/soaps, etc)... Small touches added to the experience...It was a nice suprise to see 10 beach towels waiting to be used- and soaps/shampoos in each bathroom. Kay and Bill were very accomodating, bringing us a set of clean pillowcases, and providing recommendations for Fish markets/restaurants/and massage therapists. We enjoyed the hammock and hot tub, the lounge chairs and beautiful hibiscus and plumeria trees. The girls in our house never left the house without a plumeria behind one ear... it really was lovely. Since we've not been on the island in a few years, we'd forgotten that roaches live in warm places- so that was the only "yuck" thing we dealt with- and of course mosquitos- but guess that's part and parcel of an island vacation. Possibly installing a new front door screen would help (it kept opening) so one could have air flow thru easily. Other than that- it was a wonderful place to call home for 8 nights!" - The Perera's, 08/04/08 (inquire/book) "We had a very comfortable stay in this home, in a very quiet and beautiful part of the island.
