Casa del Cipresso is situated in the shadow of the ancient Calitri Castle (now host to a Ceramics Museum) and is part of the "Antico Borgo" or old village. It is located on a quiet, medieval, pedestrian only street. There is free parking, grocery store, bakery, internet cafe, restaurant, and a convenient Thursday street market...all less than a block away.
It is a pleasant (10 minute) walk through the Medieval Borgo to the "new" part of Calitri; there you will find shops, restaurants, pizzerias, coffee bars, bars, banks, post office, bus stop, swimming pool, and all the other amenities you would expect to find in a town of about 6000 residents.
Recently renovated, this cozy, Hill Town home still retains all it's charm and local characteristics.

"We had a very enjoyable stay. Calitri is a very atmospheric little town, set in quite spectacular countryside. It's a good base from which to explore the area, though having a car certainly helps - we went to Castel del Monte by bus and taxi and it was quite complicated, to say the least. Like the other visitors, we found the people of Calitri very friendly, in spite of the rudimentary nature of our Italian! The Casa del Cipresso itself is very comfortable and well-appointed, and well situated for grocery store, internet cafe and bakery. All in all, a very positive experience. Robin and Sian"
