"We are three generations and three families that planned a Yosemite camping trip only to be smoked out by a major fire (Ferguson) that closed the park. I proposed glamping instead. And did we ever. Gifted with the incredible availability of Dave's Treehouse in Mammoth and overwhelmed with it's charm, amenities, and location all I can tell you is this has to be the best place in Mammoth. We, our adult children and their children were able to enjoy meals at a very large dining table together. Play games together. And separate to enjoy outside activities in abundance. These varied from lake rafting to sneaking sounds from the Mammoth Bluesapalooza event (basically next door in the pines) while BBQing on the porch. Did I mention Mammoth Brewing just downstairs. Also every meal not a picnic was prepared in the fabulous kitchen - that's rare. A quibble - missing a coffee grinder but Dave phoned to inquire on us, apologized and I'll bet there's a coffee grinder there now.
