"Last spring we were looking for a place to spend a quiet weekend away from the city, but a place that was still close enough that we didn't spend half our time driving. I happened to stumble across Retriever's Retreat on VRBO. The price was quite reasonable, so we booked a Friday-Sunday trip. We were extremely impressed with the accomodations. My fiance suprised me with a marriage proposal on the first night, so we spent the rest of the weekend just the two of us (and Brody, our Black Lab)enjoying the quiet outdoors and lounging on the huge leather sofa. We made a nice fire in the outdoor firepit to enjoy our Saturday evening. We are planning another trip for this coming spring so that we can enjoy Retriever's Retreat again. I would recommend it to anyone else looking for a nice mix of the outdoors with indoor luxuries."
