Comfortably furnished apartment located in the most famous building in Montevideo, Palacio Salvo. This building was first constructed in 1928 by Italian architect, Mario Palanti in the original site of the Confiteria ” La Giralda”, where Gerardo Matos Rodriguez wrote his famous Tango “La Cumparsita” in 1917. The tower at the northwest corner of the building dominates the Skyline and serves as a gateway to Avenida 18 de Julio, the city's Principal Street. To this day Palacio Salvo can be found on most postcards of the city and country and remains a national symbol due to being the tallest building in South America for many decades after its construction.
The apartment has been fully renovated and remodeled from hardwood floors to the 14 feet ceiling, it has been comfortably furnished in all living areas including the bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed with matching custom bed sheets comforter. Avenida 18 de Julio can be viewed from both master and guest bedroom but the best view of plaza Independencia is reserved for the master bedroom.
