The National Register Historic District of Fells Point is a vibrant maritime community, located just east of Baltimore's famous Inner Harbor. Established in 1730, the area served as the city's original port and was the center of a thriving shipbuilding industry.
Many of the existing homes and commercial structures date to the 18th and 19th century, and have been diligently restored to preserve their quaint charm and historic character. The Robert Long House, circa 1765, is Baltimore's oldest surviving urban residence, and is now maintained as a museum.
The cobblestone streets of Fells Point are alive with restaurants, taverns, small theaters, galleries, antique and vintage clothing shops, and many other unique establishments. The neighborhood offers an eclectic mixture of residential and commercial cultures and interests, featuring a fascinating melting pot of fine restaurants and inexpensive ethnic eateries, renowned artists and offbeat characters, upscale townhouses and modest working-class rowhomes, all existing in harmony side by side.
Fells Point is a short walk or ride to the Inner Harbor, Little Italy and Canton. The convenient and enjoyable water taxis are a favorite means of transportation for Fells Point residents and visitors.

3 Month Availability Snapshot for this Vacation Rental
"As a well-traveled former Baltimore resident, I don't think you can find better lodging than Lancaster House. The location is perfect; you are in the best section of the coolest neighborhood in Baltimore. It is beautifully decorated (with some fun and funky Baltimore art and memorabilia..)and will exceed all of your expectations. It is definitely upscale. It was spotless, but the kitchen cabinets have all the oils, spices and extras that you'll probably need; you can walk to Whole Foods for the rest.. Richard, the owner, has three houses in Fell's Point and is an excellent host. He takes credit cards and doesn't pull any "nickel and dime" nonsense- your nightly rate includes absolutely everything. He even has a resident's parking pass for your use, which is invaluable in Fell's Point. Rent this house, get a water taxi pass for all the harbor activities (the stop is two blocks), visit the Walters Art Gallery and Baltimore Art Museum (both free!), eat some crabs...I guarantee a great vacation!"
